VEVO Overview
Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) allows visa holders, employers, education providers, and other organizations to check visa details and conditions online.
VEVO is the official service provided by the Australian Department of Home Affairs to verify visa status and entitlements electronically.
What VEVO Shows
- Your current visa type and subclass
- Visa expiry date and validity period
- Must not arrive after date (if applicable)
- Period of stay (how long you can remain)
- Visa conditions (work rights, study restrictions, etc.)
Important Information
VEVO only provides details about your current in-effect visa. If you hold a Bridging visa but your substantive visa has not yet expired, VEVO cannot show both visas simultaneously.
Long-term residents: If you migrated to Australia before 1990 and haven't travelled out of Australia, you might not have an electronic record. You can request an electronic record of your permanent visa to use with VEVO.
